How to use JPG to AVIF Converter
- Add one or more JPG images.
- AVIF is already selected. Set the quality if you want a smaller or sharper file.
- Tap Convert, then download each image or all of them as a ZIP.
Turn JPG images into AVIF in a few seconds, one or many at a time. JPG is the most common photo format and opens everywhere, but it can’t store transparency. Your image usually gets much smaller with almost no visible change.
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. PNG keeps full quality, so it is often larger.
Add your JPG images, keep AVIF selected and tap Convert. Download each file, or all of them as a ZIP.
At the default 90% quality the difference is very hard to see. Move the Quality slider up for the best result, or down for a smaller file.
AVIF works in modern browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari 16 or newer) and is ideal for fast websites. Convert back to JPG for online forms.
No. The conversion happens inside your browser and your images never leave your device.
